The Science Behind Wellness is a session in our signature Holistic Success workshop

at Ye Self Care.



Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health outcomes. At Ye Self Care we give you tools to take good care.



Our journey to total wellness can be effected by the amount of stress that we experience. Stress is a normal part of life and we will all experience it at some point.


Our quality of life can be enhanced by managing life's stress with healthy habits. Research shows that a consistent Yoga and Meditation practice will help you maintain and reduce stress. There are still so many studies being done on the benefits of meditation and yoga in our self- care routine today. However, these practices and their benefits have been around for thousands of years.


Meditation and Yoga is not some woo woo magical practice. There is a science behind why taking good care of ourselves is important.


Our personal development workshop

" The Science Behind Wellness"

educates our clients on the "why" behind self care.




Our Client, Girl's Inc. has a program called Eureka!


Eureka! scholars participate in a five-year science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) focused program that begins with a four-week camp the summer before eighth grade. Eureka! builds girls’ confidence and skills through hands-on programs featuring STEM activities. Eureka! fosters personal development and college and career readiness, promotes lasting relationships with peers and mentors, and encourages positive risk-taking. Within a cohort of 30 peers, Eurekans will be inspired to pursue educational, professional, and personal growth.


Ye Self Care led a full personal development workshop for the program participants in the Girls Inc. Eureka! Program.

During this workshop the young ladies learned:

  • Meditation Techniques

  • Stress Management

  • Yoga

  • The Science behind Wellness - a session focused on the brain and body connection behind self care practices. A STEM focused learning that serves as an introduction to wellness.
